About SyntaxShelf
SyntaxShelf is a free cheat sheet that works offline: 1,271 code snippets across 11 stacks and 152 sections, plus 453 task pages that index the same snippets by what you are trying to do. It is for the moment you know a flag exists and cannot recall it.

Where the snippets come from
The entries were carried over from the content files of the mobile cheat-sheet app this site began as, and they ship as one bundled data file. The output field records what a snippet is expected to print, not a captured run; read a command before running it, and treat each tool's official documentation as the authority.
Byline, author and dates
Each of the 7 guides appears under the SyntaxShelf name, signed by no individual, and its JSON-LD author is the publishing organization. Each guide is dated by the most recent edit to its text.
Who runs it
One independent developer, with no company or staff, who also runs EngiRef, StatRise, CalcRef and Discretica.
Known gaps
errorStringsis empty on every entry, so pasting an error message into search will not find an entry by that route.- Highlighting is per stack: the 11 stack ids map onto 6 highlighter grammars, and
outputis never highlighted. - Favourites and notes live in this browser only, with no backup. Export them from Settings if they matter.
